Hinksey Meadow with Ragged Robin

This is a floodplain meadow which, as the name suggests, lies adjacent to a river and receives the overflow of water in the winter months. Vegetation that is found in these habitats is adapted to the annual inundation. If the ground is undisturbed, many species will establish on the meadow,
